This may seem like the obligatory blog post written after a conference all about blogging, but I assure you, it is oh so much more than that! It is a peak into all the amazing things I am going to integrate into my business to help not only myself and my company, but the numerous clients that I am currently working with. Plus, the hopefully many new clients that will soon be mine! So, let us begin.

Tip #1

Always write your headline with SEO and Google results in mind! I was going to name this blog something funny and adorable…just like me! But then I remembered that writing your headline with the keywords and phrases that someone might be searching for in mind is a GREAT idea! So, don’t you think my headline is great? I mean, how many people search for “Social Media Tips” on Google? My guess is A LOT!

Tip #2

Don’t be overwhelmed by the hundreds of different social media platforms that are out there! If you try and be everywhere you are certain to fail! It’s a fact. Instead, find the 2-4 platforms that are most effective for you and your clients and dominate on those.

Tip #3

Video is King! Yes, I know that content is king…but video is giving that monarchy a run for its money. Since Google bought YouTube, video can no longer be ignored in your business plan. And YouTube has made it so easy for you to integrate video into your business; it would be criminal not to take advantage of it. With its new Video Editor, it looks like editing raw video is a pretty simple process. So, I am making the commitment to myself and my business to begin using video to promote myself and my clients. Pinky swear.

Tip #4

“Pin Thoughtfully.” Pinterest is totally awesome! It’s fantastic, fabulous and fun! And if you don’t watch yourself, it will take over your life! Pin with care, and pin with a plan.

Tip #5

Put yourself first. I am guilty of this one. Just like the cobbler’s children have no shoes, my website is the last one to get updated. You are your brand, so treat yourself and your business like they are important, if not even more important than your most important client. It’s that important! And that’s a lot of importants!

Tip #6

Follow these amazing ladies! I have added these phenomenal women to my “Must Watch” list and I recommend that you do the same. It will be more than worth it! @JoeyFortman, @LindaSherman, @getgorgevents, @AudreyMcClellan, @VeraSweeney, @alizasherman, @MartieParty, @MissLori, @BuzzMommy, and @FoxInteractive.

That’s gonna do it for me. From the Disney Coronado Resort, I bid you all a magical night!
